MAY PATCHARAPONG RUENGHIRUNWONG

May Patcharapong Ruenghirunwong is an award-winning bassist and an internationally acclaimed Laney artist based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since winning the “Rock Dream Team” competition in 2008 from TPBS TV program, 108 Music, May has participated in international jazz festivals like Macau Jazz and Blues Festival and Java Jazz Festival as well as major concerts throughout Thailand,. These include NJ We Belong 2gether, 4+1, Lor Mak Mak Concert, NJ Story, Young Divas, and The Super Men, Launch the Spaceship, Thailand International Jazz Conference (TIJC) 2001, 2013, 2016, 2017.

In addition, May Patcharapong performs with Thai and International artists such as Neung Jakkawal, Julia Doncan, Eriks Hargrove, Steve Canon, Alex Hutchings, Jonathan Fritzen.

May Patcharapong recently released his second bass solo album My Own Role in 2018. He previously released two critically acclaimed albums, a bass solo album titled Patcharapong & His Friends and a studio album titled Final Chapter Band.

May Patcharapong earned his Bachelors degree from Chankasem Rajabhat University, and he currently teaches at Mahidol University.
